Prepare for significant growth in the UK...
That's how it normally happens
there is an article today in daily mail one of the largest uk newspapers about the plymouth brethren that should worry every thinking jehovah's witness.. the charities commision in britain is threatening the charitable status of a small offshoot of the aglican church the plymouth brethren .the reason ?
they don't perform enough charitable work for their local community .
at a time where the tax avoidance of large businesses such as google ,ebay, amazon and starbucks is under serious question in britain ,the charities commision's investigation into this little church's charitable status comes as no surprise .the 2006 charities act forced charities, often at high cost, to 'demonstrate' value to society .so far being a christian church automatically exempt you off taxes ,this is not the case anymore .
Prepare for significant growth in the UK...
That's how it normally happens
here's my article on the latest development in the conti case.... http://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/you-cant-use-patterson-court-denies-watchtowers-bond-motion.
i've tried to write it in such a way as to explain what's going on for people (like myself) who struggle to understand complex legal issues.. i've also availed myself of the help of a valued poster on this forum who wishes to remain anonymous.. i hope people will find the article helpful.
as always, if people notice any problems with it, please let me know (as kindly as possible!
Awesome article! And nice than Candice Conti's mother commented she appreciated it.
Who knows where this case may lead...
please feel free to pm me.
looking for more ex-jw's to connect with from milwaukee.
if you are from the wisconsin area also that is a plus.. thanks!.
Aw, ok.
has anyone ever met a professed anointed partaker that was normal?
i mean for a considerable amount of time, not just in audience listening to a talk?
no offense to any professed partakers on here, but the ones i have spent time with have all seemed a little off has that been your experience?.
The nutty partakers were never counted when I attended memorials, and that was direction given by overseer.
In order to be counted, the person had to be sane. So I the officials ones counted were pretty normal.
There's only 1 sane anointed person I was actually close to.
i'm watching a jw who is running himself into the ground.. before his last meeting, he sounded really agitated about his life's schedule.
all i could think of was how the wts was in his way.
2 service meetings a week (one where a presentation of some sort may have to be given).
Wow, MC I never knew that they applied it that way, just looked it up. Of course they also use it for meetings, assemblies, and a couple of home bible study references.
For those that don't have references, this is the second most recent article in WT Library discussing that scripture:
*** w06 11/1 p. 28 par. 5 Showing Respect for Our Sacred Gatherings ***
We share in that blessing if we are present and attentively follow the spiritual program. Moreover, Jesus stated: “Where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.” In context, this statement applies to Christian elders who are meeting to handle serious problems between individuals, but in principle, it also applies to our meetings. (Matthew 18:20) If Christ, by means of holy spirit, is present when Christians meet together in his name, should not such gatherings be considered sacred?
So it primarily dicusses judicial cases, but only principally to meetings. Lol. Looking further back in articles, it's easy to see how they spell it out even more detailed and ridiculously.... The point is, this is what the friends have to accept as truth. This makes NO SENSE, yet they have to believe and follow this, otherwise they will be called apostate or judged as harboring independant thinking. NeverKnew - If he can see the erroneous understanding of what the WTS says Jesus meant, you may be onto something good with him. If he accepts it enough to parrot the societies understanding though it goes against logic, and CONTEXT actually, well, prognosis is not positive.
i have always wondered if the watchtower, being a major player in the brainwashing industry, is part of or incorporates mk ultra programming.. for those not familiar with it, project mk ultra was an illegal cia mind control program that apparently still exists unofficially through monarch butterfly programming.
childern are often the victims of this program, as social engineers and psychological operators found that sexually and physically abusing children produced traits beneficial to the intelligence community, like photographic memory and amnesia (good for carriers of secrets and sensitive information).
monarch programming also produces candidates for manchurian operations.. anyways, it seems that the cia could definitely benefit by using the watchtower to carry out some of this programming, as the structure of the watchtower kingdom halls makes it easy for predators to abuse kids with impunity.. i did a search on this forum and found at least one person who claims to have been a victim of this, if i am reading correctly.
On EVERY SINGLE Bible Study I've ever been on, I was exposed to watching/participating in doing the following things to the householder:
1.
2. Confinement in boxes, cages, coffins, etc, or burial (often with an opening or air-tube for oxygen).
3. Restraint; with ropes, chains, cuffs, etc.
4. Near-drowning.
5. Extremes of heat and cold, including submersion in ice water, and burning chemicals.
6. Skinning (only top layers of the skin are removed in victims intended to survive).
7. Spinning.
8. Blinding light.
9. Electric shock.
10. Forced ingestion of offensive body fluids and matter, such as blood, urine, feces, flesh, etc.
11. Hung in painful positions or upside down.
12. Hunger and thirst.
13. Sleep deprivation.
14 Compression with weights and devices.
15. Sensory deprivation.
16. Drugs to create illusion, confusion, and amnesia, often given by injection or intravenously.
17. Ingestion or intravenous toxic chemicals to create pain or illness, including chemotherapy agents.
18. Limbs pulled or dislocated.
19. Application of snakes, spiders, maggots, rats, and other animals to induce fear and disgust.
20. Near-death experiences; commonly asphyxiation by choking or drowning, with immediate resuscitation.
22. Forced to perform or witness abuse, torture and sacrifice of people and animals, usually with knives.
23.
24. Raped to become pregnant; the fetus is then aborted for ritual use, or the baby is taken for sacrifice or enslavement.
25. Spiritual abuse to cause victim to feel possessed, harassed, and controlled internally by spirits or demons.
26. Desecration of Judeo-Christian beliefs and forms of worship; Dedication to Satan or other deities.
27. Abuse and illusion to convince victims that God is evil, such as convincing a child that God has raped her.
28. Surgery to torture, experiment, or cause the perception of physical or spiritual bombs or implants.
29. Harm or threats of harm to family, friends, loved ones, pets, and other victims, to force compliance.
30. Use of illusion and virtual reality to confuse and create non-credible disclosure.
what did you decide to do?.
leave with a bang, trying to educate those around you before leaving?
perhaps writing letters to others forgiving/ asking for forgiveness.. or.
Never went back. Cold turkey.
there is a catch-22 that can trip you up at the local kingdom hall.. .
if you receive "counsel" from an elder about any behavior at all and you "resist" or question the counsel you can be accused of having a "spirit of rebellion".. .
so, you have to either shut up and comply (with even the most ludicrous and ill-founded suggestions) or answer back and be chastised and "marked".. .
But 00Dad, they are only looking out for us. We need to be obedient....
this picture isnt from the show.
is it just me or is this not a major wtf moment?
thats not her dad.
They look like a typical Bethel couple...
did you try to hold your farts during a meeting or let the slip out?
.
i let them go (quitely) and did not give a hell about the reaction..
Lol! It was funny seeing a thread about farts, and the last commenter named "Empty Inside".
